Privacy notice
This draft explains how we handle personal information. It follows the structure of the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Who we are
Blue Pacific Talent. Contact us through the Contact page.
Email: hello@pactalent.com
2. Open and transparent handling
We explain here what we collect, why, who we share it with and how you can contact us.
3. What we collect
- Candidates: name, contact details, home country, date of birth, gender, work history, references, certificates, photos, videos and documents you give us.
- Employers: company name, contact person, work email and hiring needs.
- Website use: see the cookie notice.
4. Sensitive information
With your consent, we collect sensitive information to verify candidates:
- Met in person: We meet every candidate face to face.
- Identity check: We sight the candidate’s photo ID, with consent.
- Police check: The candidate provides their police check.
- Reference check: We check each candidate’s work references.
- Drug test: Only candidates who pass the drug test can be published.
- Physical work-readiness: Push-ups, grip strength and squats with a 20 kg box.
- Conversational English: Checked in person.
- Recorded interview video: Recorded by our team in person.
Only candidates who pass the drug test get a profile. The drug test result and date, physical test numbers (grip strength, push-ups, squat result) and English score are shown only to signed-in, approved employers on a candidate's profile page. Public pages only show that checks were completed. Height and weight are candidate-provided answers only and are never shown to employers.
We only use these results to verify candidates and introduce them to employers.
5. How we collect it
Directly from you through our forms and at interview days.
6. How we use it
To assess, verify and introduce candidates to employers, to respond to employer enquiries and messages, and to run our service.
7. Public display of profiles
With your consent, your profile is shown in the Talent pool. Before verification, only your home country, skill area and years of experience are shown. After verification, and if you agree to share, signed-in approved employers see your first name, photo, intro video, work video, work history, certificates and the checks we completed. On your profile page they also see your drug test result and date, your physical test numbers (grip strength, push-ups, squat result) and your English score. Public pages only show that checks were completed, never the numbers. Your age, gender, height, weight, contact details and ID documents are never shown to employers. Sensitive documents are shared only after an employer signs an agreement for you, and only with your consent. Your name, contact details, photo, video, documents and health information are not shown publicly.
8. Disclosure to employers overseas
Employers are mainly in Canada and other countries. Before we share your work profile with a specific employer, we tell you which country the employer is in. With your consent, we may share your work profile with approved employers in those countries. Sensitive documents are shared only after the employer agreement is signed for you. Age, gender, height, weight, contact details, ID documents and full-body photos stay with our team. Those countries may have different privacy laws.
9. Security and retention
We store information securely with limited access. We keep it only as long as needed for our service or the law, then delete or de-identify it.
10. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Contact us through the Contact page.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern, contact us through the Contact page. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), oaic.gov.au.
